Gunther has his first World Heavyweight Championship defense, as he’ll face Randy Orton at WWE Bash In Berlin. The new champion appeared on Monday’s episode of Raw in the opening segment, cutting a promo about his victory over Damian Priest at SummerSlam. Gunther teased doing more with his World Heavyweight Title reign than with his Intercontinental Championship reign and saw Raw belonged to him.

Orton then came out and reminded Gunther how his shoulders were up during their match in the King of the Ring finals and said that he was calling for his rematch. Gunther accepted and said that whatever voices in Orton’s head were telling him he could beat Gunther were wrong.

WWE Bash In Berlin takes place in Berlin, Germany on August 31st and airs live on Peacock and WWE Network.
