Channel 4 Four in a Bed couple in brutal 'death' dig after dramatic underpayment

Four in a Bed: Guest says room was 'left to die'

The latest episode of Four In A Bed took an unexpected twist when a couple launched a savage attack on their rivals during the tense finale.

The moment of truth arrived as it was time to reveal which B&B would be crowned the best value, most comfortable and cost-effective retreat. However, as each proprietor announced their scores, the atmosphere turned icy.

As the owners shared their thoughts on the results, they didn't hold back. B&B proprietors Wayne and Debra were less than impressed with Gill and Peter's establishment, The Victory At Mersea.

Citing outdated rooms, Wayne was quick to assert that it wasn't worth the asking price. He declared: "I feel like that room had been really left to die," reports the Mirror.

But owner Peter saw things differently.

In his candid response, he said: "When most people walk through the door, they go 'wow.' And maybe from our point of view, we sort of thought the view pretty well makes up for everything else."

Wayne and Debra chose to pay less than the asking price at The Victory At Mersea, shelling out £30 less for their room.

The tension continued as other owners seemed to agree with Wayne's harsh critique. B&B owners Melvyna and Sidney also opted to pay half price for their £100 room, leaving Peter and Gill feeling deflated.

Despite the best efforts of all involved, it was Melvyn and Sidney's establishment that took top honours. However, not all B&B owners were pleased with the result.

The PitStop, completed in 2009, offers a unique experience for Morgan sports car enthusiasts under the personal guidance of proprietors Melvyn, Sindy and Mariella Rutter. The Rutters, who have been associated with Morgan sports cars for over 48 years, are passionate about these vehicles.
