TM: Josie Gibson reveals her nickname for Craig Doyle

Josie Gibson had a quick-witted reply for her Irish co-host as she revealed his nickname on live television during This Morning. As the pair reunited to host the ITV show on Monday (August 5), Craig Doyle couldn't resist engaging in some light-hearted banter as they kicked off the programme together.

The TV duo are currently filling in for regular hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, who are taking a break from the show. Starting the show, Josie asked Craig: "Are you taking the mick?" The proud Bristolian then affectionately referred to him as "Doyle-a-roo", before explaining that it was her "nickname" for him.

Josie began the popular show by addressing viewers: "Hello and welcome to your Monday's This Morning you've got me..." she was interrupted and halted as Craig appeared to mimic her. She turned to him to ask: "Are you taking the mick out of me already?" Before adding: "It's only a few seconds in and he's already taking the mick."

Continuing with the opening of This Morning, she went on, informing fans: "Well you've got me and Doyle-a-roo for the rest of the week. Craig Doyle that is. Thanks for clarifying Doyle-a-roo. That's my nickname for you."

Craig responded, telling her: "You're the only person in the world that calls me that. I'm called many things... and not all of them are as nice as Doyle-a-roo."

Josie asked: "Have you got a nickname for me?" Without missing a beat, he replied: "Gibbo."

"So Doyle-a-roo and Gibbo, otherwise known as Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle," the former Big Brother winner clarified. Meanwhile, last week, the two stand-in hosts delighted fans online after it was announced they'd be presenting together.

Over X, formerly known as Twitter, fans couldn't have been happier with ITV's selction. They said: "Craig & Josie should be full-time presenters! #ThisMorning." Another echoed: "Craig and Josie showing they have way more chemistry in 2 minutes than Ben and Cat have had since they joined the show #thismorning."

This Morning airs on ITV from 10am, weekdays and can be streamed via ITVX.
