Roman Reigns Returns at WWE Summerslam, Helps Cody Rhodes at WWE Summerslam

Cody Rhodes is still the WWE Champion, defeating Solo Sikoa in the main event with help from a returning Roman Reigns.

The match was under Bloodline rules, which as expected, led to interference from the new Bloodline. Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa showed up first, but were taken out by Kevin Owens and Randy Orton. Later, Jacob Fatu came out to attack Rhodes, but hurt himself putting him through the announce table. Even then, it looked like Sikoa might still become champion. That is, until Reigns appeared for the first time since Wrestlemania. He hit Sikoa with a Superman punch and a spear, allowing Rhodes to hit the Cross Rhodes and get the pin.

Rhodes is in the middle of his first reign as WWE Chamion. He’s held the belt for 119 days, winning it from Reigns at Wrestlemania.
