The Repair Shop expert on 'risky repair'

The BBC's beloved show The Repair Shop  is returning with a new series. Jay Blades will once again take the helm, working alongside a team of talented craftspeople in the converted barn to restore people's cherished but neglected items.

According to The Sun, the new series will kick off on Wednesday 14 August at 8pm on BBC One. The programme's most distinguished visitor to date is none other than King Charles III, who graced the barn with his presence in an October 2022 episode while he was still Prince of Wales. His Royal contributions included a historic piece of pottery commemorating Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee and a classic 18th-century timepiece, both meticulously restored by the show's dedicated craftsmen.

Jay Blades, the charismatic host, recently took to social media to share a snapshot of The Repair Shop crew, accompanied by an inspiring message: "Thought of the day: Coming together is the beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success. Which equals, Community and Family."
