Denise Welch has hinted that Loose Women had a "knock-on effect" on her acting career due to her being "opinionated".

In May, the actress opened up about her career in an unearthed episode of the The Number with Darren Kennedy. It was recorded around two weeks prior to her on-screen debate with Loose Women co-star Stacey Solomon about working from home.

Denise explained how the popular daytime show had an impact on her career as it revealed her true colours to the world. However, she did concede that it led to "other opportunities".

function loadOvpScript(){let el=document.createElement('script');el.setAttribute('src','https://live.primis.tech/live/liveView.php?s=114945&playerApiId=v114945');document.getElementById('ovp-primis').appendChild(el)} window.top.addEventListener('primisPlayerInit',e=>{try{if(e.detail&&e.detail.playerApiId==="v114945"){if(window.document.getElementsByClassName('jwplayer')[0]){e.detail.float('disable')}}}catch(e){}});window.addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded',()=>{setTimeout(()=>{if(typeof flagTcfLoaded!=='undefined'&&flagTcfLoaded===!0){loadOvpScript() ExpressApp.Log('[Load] OVP flagTcfLoaded',new Date())}else{document.addEventListener("tcfLoaded",()=>{loadOvpScript() ExpressApp.Log('[Load] OVP tcfLoaded',new Date())})}},1500)})

She said: “I think resilience is a good word for me, yeah. Yeah, I think so. I think it's always been about, as you get older in this business now, is about remaining relevant, you know.

"And doing Loose Women has been wonderful for me. Does it affect your acting career? Yes, it does. You know, if you become known as somebody who's very opinionated."

She continued: "And also because of Loose Women, my partying and everything kind of played out a lot in front of people and what's it. So it did have a knock-on effect on my acting career.

"But then again, it's given me other opportunities that my acting career wouldn't have given me. You know, forays into reality television, some bad, some good."

Last month, Stacey, 35, maintained that remote jobs with flexible hours for families had made life easier, especially for people with kids.

Meanwhile, Denise argued that the UK was "grinding to a halt" and there was no longer enough staff. The latter said: "We haven't got the staff, where are the staff? They've disappeared!"

Stacey replied: "They don't disappear because they're working from home," to which Denise then asked: "But, where are they, Stace?"

Denise rejected the notion that she and Stacey had come to blows over the incident. However, social media users were quick to suggest they wouldn't be appearing on the show any time soon.

The panellist, 66, who is known for her strong views, shut down the rumours to podcast hosts in the US. She said the co-stars had a "discussion on a discussion show" and they were "supposed to discuss things and maybe disagree".

Denise is no stranger to on-screen outbursts, however, as a May episode saw the outspoken host hit out at Coleen Nolan over Meghan Markle.

A row began after the panel, who had been joined by royal expert Dickie Arbiter, spoke about the possibility of a royal reunion between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and the rest of the family.

Coleen said: "Listen... we don't want [Dickie] on here to have a debate really. We want to know how Charles is doing now and, the future for Charles. It's not a debate."

"Well don't have a guest on," Denise blasted. "I can say what I like Coleen!" The Loose Women host replied: "I'm not saying you can't."
