This Morning suddenly halts show after Loose Women star falls live on air

This Morning: Nadia Sawalha falls in Loose Women studio

There was mayhem on This Morning when Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle had to abruptly pause the programme Thursday as pandemonium broke out in the Loose Women set.

While previewing what was to come with the panel, chaos ensued, throwing the segment off course. The presenters witnessed an unexpected turn of events, which led to Josie checking in with Nadia Sawalha after she took a tumble live on the air, leaving Denise Welch in shock.

Kaye Adams attempted to introduce a nostalgic topic, "Speaking of nostalgia...." only to be interrupted by Denise's whistle, signalling the start of a tug-of-war challenge that didn't go as planned, reports the Mirror.

When the screen switched to Nadia and Myleene Klass, it became clear there had been a mishap; Myleene was trying to lift Nadia up from the ground following her fall.

Amid laughs, Kaye said, "Trying a tug-of-war challenge... Myleene Klass is tough. Oh my goodness, see you soon," while pointing and giggling at the struggle on the floor.

Back at the This Morning studio, Josie showed concern, asking: "Is Nadia alright?" as Craig chuckled and remarked: "That wasn't meant to happen, was it?"

Nadia managed to take it in stride as Kaye commented: "She pulled her straight off her feet."

Myleene, visibly embarrassed, checked on her colleague: "Are you alright?"

Josie, trying to maintain composure, said: "We don't mean to laugh but we hope you're alright, Nadia," before receiving Nadia's confirmation: "I am absolutely fine."

Craig, seizing the moment, asked: "Do you want to show us what you were meant to do?" as Denise light-heartedly added: "I am so glad you are on my team later, blimey."

"Go sort yourselves out, would you?" Craig jested. "What a mess."

Earlier in the programme, Craig left his co-host Josie blushing after teasingly commenting on her romantic exploits.

In a lively exchange with astrologer Hagan Fox, who was ready to reveal insights in the 'What's In Your Stars' section, Craig sparked the playful banter.

"Anything that anyone wants to know, including yourself, Craig," Hagan proposed. "I am here for you."

"I am grand, I am on good form," declared Craig, before slyly inquiring: "Anything on the love front for my neighbour here."

A clearly embarrassed Josie hit back: "Don't throw me under the bus."

As Hagan suggested Josie had plenty of prospects, including himself and Craig, he quizzed whether she had other romantic interests.

Josie, recovering from the jest but not hiding her surprise, later admonished Craig: "I can't believe you did that."

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
