This Morning's Josie Gibson 'thrown under the bus' by co-star after romance remark

Josie Gibson left red-faced after romance probe

Josie Gibson was left red-faced on Thursday's episode of This Morning after co-host Craig Doyle made a playful comment about her romantic life. During a conversation with a guest, Josie accused Craig of "throwing her under the bus" when he brought up the topic of her future love life.

The pair were speaking to astrology expert Hagan Fox about the upcoming 'What's In Your Stars' segment when the incident occurred. "Anything that anyone wants to know, including yourself, Craig," Hagan offered. "I am here for you."

"I am grand, I am on good form," Craig responded, before cheekily asking: "Anything on the love front for my neighbour here."

A flustered Josie retorted: "Don't throw me under the bus," reports the Mirror.

Fans were delighted to see Josie and Craig back on the show together, filling in while regular hosts Cat Deeley, Ben Shephard, Alison Hammond, and Dermot O'Leary enjoy a break. Many viewers have even suggested that Josie and Craig should become permanent presenters, with one tweeting: "Craig and Josie should be full-time presenters! #ThisMorning."

Another agreed: "Craig and Josie showing they have way more chemistry in 2 minutes than Ben and Cat have had since they joined the show #thismorning." (sic)

Fans are showering praise on today's hosts with fervent appeals online, stating "Best presenters today, please make Josie and Craig permanent @itv #ThisMorning," whilst another admirer declared: "Craig and Josie, yes please."

At the show's outset, Craig and Josie enthused about their return, admitting they were feeling a "bit rusty".

"Welcome to your Thursday's This Morning, how are you, Jose? " initiated Craig, prompting Josie's response: "I have missed you."

"How much? Out of 10? " probed Craig, leading to Josie's playful retort: "About an eight."

Stunned by her response, Craig said: "About an eight, that's ok, I have been a seven before. I'll take an eight."

He concluded with warmth: "I have missed the vibe of this place, it is such a lovely place to come and hang out and to see everyone. It's nice to see most of them."

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
