House of the Dragon fans are furious after footage from the final episode of the HBO drama’s second season leaked online.

Several scenes have spread on TikTok and Reddit with days still to go before the episode airs on Sunday and Monday morning on Sky in the UK.

We won’t be spoiling any twists and turns here, but Game of Thrones aficionados have been warned to keep their eyes peeled or avoid social media altogether if they don’t want to know what’s coming.

The footage could ruin some pivotal moments for the Targaryens as Rhaenyra (played by Emma D’Arcy) and Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) continue their bloodthirsty feud.

In the latest episode, Rhaenyra got closer to rebuilding her army after a search for new dragon riders, while Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) begrudgingly wins the favour of Oscar Tully (Archie Barnes).

According to Variety, fourteen videos comprising around 30 minutes of footage from the season finale were released on TikTok on Tuesday night, many scoring a staggering 100,000 views or more before being taken down.

Viewers were left fuming after accidentally stumbling on the revealing footage.

One fan said on Twitter: “To the people who r posting spoiler for the last episode and not putting a warning I hope your pillow is hot on both sides.

“I hope you can never get the perfect position while sleeping. And your drink spills on you while you sleep. Absolutely f*** each one of you.” (sic)

Another raged: “You guys are truly insufferable with posting the leaked photos.”

“Istg if I see one more leak from the last hotd episode I’ll will burn everything down,” a third wrote.

However, others couldn’t help their curiosity getting the better of them and were more angry about the show’s direction than the leaks themselves.

“Me clocking out of hotd after hearing about these f***a** leaks bc who tf let these people write this s**t,” one disappointed viewer said.

They then posted a clip of Kourtney Kardashian saying, “I am unsubscribing from this drama.”

While someone fumed on Reddit: “I've seen the videos. They butchered [REDACTED] so badly, wow.

“And that ending is the most underwhelming finale of all times and all shows.”

Fans are used to social media becoming a minefield for spoilers leading up to a major series finale.

In fact, the exact same thing happened with House of the Dragon’s first season, with footage from the finale spreading online two days before it aired.

Thankfully, the leaks aren’t expected to make a dent in HBO’s viewing figures, as the second season has already become one of the network’s biggest hits of the year.
