ITV Cooking With The Stars viewers issue same complaint minutes into new series

Cooking with the Stars viewers were left 'switching off' only minutes into the new series on Tuesday evening (July 30).

The ITV reality show is officially back for its fourth series as celebrities are paired with top chefs who will mentor them during each challenge and hopefully transform them into restaurant-level cooks.

Emma Willis and Tom Allen are back on hosting duty taking the group of comedians, TV presenters and a YouTuber through the motions to find a winner.

In the first episode Carol Vorderman, Abbey Clancy, Pasha Kovalev and Harry Pinero all went head-to-head as they attempted to deliver standout dinner party dishes in a bid to progress to the next round and avoid the dreaded cook-off.

But some viewers were not impressed with the new season of the cooking show, with some claiming they switched off only minutes into the episode.

Taking to X, one person wrote: "Never watched this before #CookingWithTheStars. Won’t be watching it again! Who dreams up these beyond boring programs with Z list ‘celebrities’!! So so bad @ITV."

A second exclaimed: "5 minutes was enough. It's terrible #CookingWithTheStars."

While a third chimed in with: "All the whooping and cheering is getting on my nerves #CookingWithTheStars."

"Not sure why I'm watching this especially as some of the stars and chefs annoy me. #cookingwiththestars", said another.

Meanwhile, some Cooking with the Stars viewers loved the show, with one person writing: "@carolvorders. Already enjoying watching you on #CookingwiththeStars."

A second added: "They get some really good stars on this!#CookingWithTheStars."

Carol managed to escape getting the boot from the competition in the first episode of Cooking with the Stars by making a Black Forest gateau that impressed.

However, YouTube personality Harry Pinero was sent home.

Cooking with the Stars continues on Tuesday, at 8pm on ITV and ITVX.
