Considering that Blake Lively is Ryan Reynolds' wife, she was the most-likely choice to be Lady Deadpool. Lively confirmed her cameo in a post on her Instagram account, where she went on to explain that artist Rob Liefeld came up with the Lady Deadpool character in 2010. She also shared a screenshot of Liefeld acknowledging her character on Gossip Girl as the inspiration for Deadpool's gender-swapped counterpart.
