Good Morning Britain fans made a plea to the ITV breakfast show as they picked up on an "annoying" habit of Ranvir Singh's. The TV presenter stood in to host the show alongside co-star Ed Balls this morning (July 29).

But as the presenting pair tackled top news stories such as the Strictly Come Dancing scandals and Manchester airport footage, viewers at home shared their disgruntled thoughts about Ranvir, 46, "talking too much". While some people may think that her speaking her mind meant she was carrying out her presenting role well, others begged for her to "stop talking".

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), one GMB fan complained: "'kin 'ell. That shouty Ranvir's quit shouting for a bit now. She'll be at it again soon. #gmb".

Another penned: "#GMB Can someone please tell Ranvir to shut the f**k up. She loves the sound of her own voice #RanvirSingh." While a third added: "Ranvir Singh has spoken more than the other three put together #gmb".

function loadOvpScript(){let el=document.createElement('script');el.setAttribute('src','https://live.primis.tech/live/liveView.php?s=114945&playerApiId=v114945');document.getElementById('ovp-primis').appendChild(el)} window.top.addEventListener('primisPlayerInit',e=>{try{if(e.detail&&e.detail.playerApiId==="v114945"){if(window.document.getElementsByClassName('jwplayer')[0]){e.detail.float('disable')}}}catch(e){}});window.addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded',()=>{setTimeout(()=>{if(typeof flagTcfLoaded!=='undefined'&&flagTcfLoaded===!0){loadOvpScript() ExpressApp.Log('[Load] OVP flagTcfLoaded',new Date())}else{document.addEventListener("tcfLoaded",()=>{loadOvpScript() ExpressApp.Log('[Load] OVP tcfLoaded',new Date())})}},1500)})

"So here we go it’s the 'Ranvir' show ! Ed is looking at her as if to say 'shall I just go' ??? #GMB," someone else said. And another wrote: "Ranvir really likes to talk," with another chiming in: "Terrible start to this weeks GMB useless Ed Balls and Ranvir. BBC for me all week."

Ranvir has been stepping in on Good Morning Britain following absences from her co-stars. Regular presenter Susanna Reid has been taking some time off for summer, while it has been reported that Kate Garraway has been missing from her slot on the ITV show due to illness in her family.

The presenter, 57, took unexpected leave from the programme to support her father, who was reported to be in a critical condition, following a suspected stroke and heart attack, earlier in the month.

The broadcaster made a swift departure from ITV studios on Tuesday 16 July after receiving the distressing news about her dad, Gordon.

A source close to the star told the press: "Very sadly, Kate's father collapsed earlier this week while staying, along with her mum and her brother in Cornwall.

"It was incredibly frightening as he was found unconscious and immediately taken to hospital. It seems likely that he's had a stroke and possibly a heart attack as well - doctors are still doing tests."

The insider added "He remains in hospital and is currently stable but, understandably, it's given the whole family a terrible scare and they are praying he can recover."

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV and ITVX
