Trent Alexander-Arnold shows off insane body transformation as Liverpool await Madrid bid

Trent Alexander-Arnold has shown off his remarkable body transformation as he prepares to return to Liverpool after Euro 2024. The right-back looked ripped as he updated fans on his progress ahead of joining up with the Reds' pre-season campaign, although some supporters will fear a bid by Real Madrid.

Alexander-Arnold has been strongly linked with the Spanish giants. He only has a year remaining on his Liverpool contract, with Anfield chiefs keen to thrash out an extension.

The 25-year-old defender is reportedly exploring his options. He has struck up a close friendship with Jude Bellingham while on international duty, intensifying speculation that he may join the England midfielder in Spain at some point in the future.

But Liverpool fans will be hoping to welcome back a fully refreshed Alexander-Arnold to Anfield. The academy graduate's body transformation looked incredible as he shared snaps of his summer progress.

Alexander-Arnold posted topless photos of him preparing for the new Premier League season. His muscular frame has clearly drastically improved since last term, with work done on his abdominals in particular.

The Three Lions star has been holidaying in the US ahead of his return to Merseyside. He has clearly been putting in the work and will want to be a stronger physical presence under new boss Arne Slot, perhaps even in the hope of playing in a more central position in the Dutchman's team.

Alexander-Arnold was spotted signing a Real Madrid shirt for a young fan while on his summer break. Los Blancos are said to be keen on a deal, although Liverpool are confident that he will sign a new contract and see out his career with his boyhood club.

Those talks will need to commence soon, though. Alexander-Arnold’s current contract expires at the end of June 2025. He will be able to discuss a pre-contract deal with a foreign club from January 1, 2025.

Fans will be intrigued to see how Slot uses Alexander-Arnold. Predecessor Jurgen Klopp preferred the versatile star at right-back, although a new system used later in the German’s reign saw Alexander-Arnold move into a more central position when his team had possession.

Slot is also known to prefer to invert one of his full-backs. He may decide to do that with Alexander-Arnold.

Former England boss Gareth Southgate faced scrutiny for testing Alexander-Arnold in a central midfield role at Euro 2024. The experiment was ditched after just two matches.
