Jeff Jarrett Thinks Jinder Mahal Has Untapped Talent That He Is About To Show The World
On the latest episode of My World With Jeff Jarrett, the WWE Hall of Famer talked about Jinder Mahal’s untapped potential after making his GCW debut following his WWE release, Booker T’s role in TNA Wrestling, and more. You can check out some highlights below:
On whether they ever considered putting the TNA World Title on Booker T: “Without question… The answer to the question is, by design, the Main Event Mafia [were] all former world heavyweight champions. And so they all, I guess you could say pre-qualified to talk a little mortgage business here? Yes. I mean, did we have a plan or an avenue on paper? No. But was it discussed? Yes.
“And look, maybe there was something on paper, but the Legends Champ[ionship], he wanted to do — I won’t say wanted to. It was a natural fit. And so it certainly wasn’t his idea, that was a creative idea. But yes, there was definitely consideration. All five of the original Main Event Mafia guys [were] pre-qualified for that role.”
On Jinder Mahal’s future: “I think he has untapped talent that he is about to show the world. It’s going to be — again, he’s not afraid to roll up his sleeves. I mean, you can just look at his physical body and tell that he’s not afraid to work. And so I think he’s on his way. It created the right buzz, I saw clips of it all over the place. Put a smile on my face, took me back to New Year’s Day 2022… Although people knew Jinder’s 90-day was getting close to being up, I just don’t think they called it. And that’s a good thing. And so I thought it was cool to see him up here [in GCW].”
