CM Punk Cryptically Responds to Contract Rumors on Social Media

– In a post on Instagram earlier today, CM Punk appeared to cryptically comment on recent rumors that surfaced this week regarding his WWE contract negotiations. It was initially rumored that Punk was under a “short-term deal” with WWE that was about to expire.

However, a later report from PWInsider indicated that Punk was under contract with WWE until 2026, and that while WWE is negotiating a new contract with Punk, it was WWE that initially approached Punk on the topic.

Earlier this morning, Punk seemed to respond to the recent reports via social media. CM Punk wrote in his Instagram story, “I used to rush to defend myself against false accusations but now I watch to see who believes it, so I know who to cut off first.”

Punk is currently in San Diego, California. He took part in the WWE Mattel Elite Squad panel at the San Diego Comic-Con at the San Diego Convention Center.
