Wind River Is Getting A Walmart-Exclusive 4K Steelbook

Wind River hit theaters in 2017, but the crime flick is getting new life with the launch of a steelbook edition later this year. Preorders for the Wind River 4K UHD Steelbook are now open ahead of its September 10 release. The film was a hit when it first debuted--and since its writer, Taylor Sheridan, later went on to create the popular Yellowstone series, we're expecting to see renewed interest in Wind River when this arrives in September.

The Wind River 4K Steelbook includes 4K, Blu-ray, and digital copies of the film, along with heaps of deleted scenes and behind-the-scenes content. If you're a collector, the stylish steelbook might be the biggest draw, as it gets you an eerie depiction of Wyoming's Wind River. The film also supports Dolby Atmos for enhanced audio.

Keep in mind that this steelbook is exclusive to Walmart, and there's a good chance it'll sell out fast. So if you're interested in adding it to your collection, it's best to preorder a copy soon.

Wind River follows a game tracker (Jeremy Renner) and rookie FBI agent (Elizabeth Olsen) as they attempt to solve the murder of a Native American girl who is found on federal land deep in the Wyoming wilderness. The autopsy reveals suspicious wounds on the body, yet the medical examiner won't call the death a homicide.
