GB News fans switch off as Eamonn Holmes presenting shake-up sparks divide

Eamonn Holmes warns of 'bigger headlines to come' on Strictly

Viewers of GB News shared complaints about the programme as they begged the channel to "give them the news" as one even threatened to switch over to BBC.

Eamonn Holmes and Anne Diamond, who are longtime friends, discussed the former's near move to the US amongst other topics.

One fan typed: "The programme should not be spotlighting what Holmes and Diamond think they should be unbiased.

"We don't want their opinions. Just give us the news.

"Seeing this couple of old cart horses rambling on his annoying Just give us the news like BBC does, and not all the silly gossip."

Another viewer added: "Sorry, won’t be watching, never rated Anne Diamond in her prime and she certainly hasn’t improved with age."

A third commented: "What on earth is Anne Diamond talking about? A left wing government?

"You've been talking about 7 MPs being suspended for not following the party line...they are left-wing...the leadership ain't left wing...very naive Anne." (sic)

It comes as Anne recently revealed she was rushed to hospital after suffering another secret health scare that left paramedics "white" with fear.

The 69-year-old broadcaster recently told how she'd undergone treatment for breast cancer, and detailed on her GB News Breakfast Show how she has had to take time off-screen due to dangerously high blood pressure.

She said: "Some of you have been asking why I've been off. The reason I've been off was a lot to do with stonkingly high blood pressure.

"And while that wasn't the whole problem, and I am still yet to get a proper diagnosis as to what was going on, it was an enormous part of the problem.

'I didn't realise that I had such incredibly high blood pressure. When the paramedics saw it they sort of went white and said, ''Well, you're off to hospital.''

"And that was that. "
