Update: We're just a few days away from the start of this year's Olympic Games in Paris and on top of the momentous competition is a wide variety of Olympic-themed kicks hitting the market. One such sneaker is the return of the Kobe 4 Protro "Gold Medal." First spotted back in March, the Swoosh has now officially unveiled the kicks as they are slated to drop during the games on August 5 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers. Outfitted in gold with red, white and blue detailing, not to mention a gold medal graphic at the sockliner that commemorates Kobe Bryant's victory in the 2008 Olympic Games, this pair is an homage to its original 2009 look.

The Nike Kobe 4 Protro "Gold Medal" is returning to shelves after initially dropping in 2009.
