Peacock Subscription Numbers Slipped In 2024 Second Quarter

Peacock’s subscriber count slipped in the latest quarter, according to Comcast’s latest earnings report. Variety reports that the NBCUniversal streamer saw its subscriber count slip from 33.5 million to 33 million for the second quarter of 2024 as reported in the latest earnings call.

Comcast announced that despite the drop, Peacock’s revenue rose 28% to $1 billion and halved its EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) loss from $651 million a year ago to $348 million. The company said that the quarter was the best year-to-year improvement for the service in its four years of existence.

Peacock is the streaming home of WWE in the US including their live PPVs and library content. The news comes as the service is raising it’s prices to $7.99 for Peacock Premium (with ads) and $13.99 for Peacock Premium without most ads.
