Five arrested over fake concert tickets

Police on Tuesday said they have arrested five men on suspicion of selling fake concert tickets. Chief Inspector Chan Hoi-leung said three people filed a report after paying between HK$1,500 and HK3,300 for fake tickets. "Police received reports that some people bought tickets online or outside concert venues, using cash or money transfer. When they attempted to enter concert venues, organisers told them that their tickets were... fake," he said. Officers said the fake tickets were convincing and included security features such as QR codes and hologram stickers. Police urged the public to avoid purchasing tickets from unofficial channels. The suspects, aged between 34 and 46, were arrested on suspicion of obtaining property by deception and were being detained for further investigation.
