22 Kids and Counting chaos as star storms off after pressure gets too much

22 Kids and Counting Season 5: Teaser trailer

Britain’s biggest family have returned to screens as Sue and Noel Radford allowed cameras into their homes once more.

The first instalment of the latest series of their Channel 5 show, 22 Kids and Counting, focused on what some of their younger children would like to be when they grew up. However, in a preview for next week, it seems as though there’s drama on the way for one of their older kids.

Luke, in his 20s, could be seen at his job in a bakery with a voiceover revealing there was “tension” in the workplace. Taking off his apron, he told his colleague: “I’m taking a quick break.”

Not looking impressed, she replied: “We don’t have those here.” Although not listening, Luke walks out of the door as the voiceover added he was “pushed to the brink.”

Later on, Luke was seen sitting in front of his parents Sue and Noel to discuss his work life. Shocked, his dad said: “Are you handing your notice in?” Confirming that he has decided to quit, one of his siblings shared a look of concern for her brother.

Elsewhere in the preview, it showed Noel facing a “midlife crisis” as the dad of the Channel 5 show was seen getting a spray tan and sandboarding. He commented: “I think I’m just playing life too safely.”

However, his wife Sue aired her concerns over Noel’s new lease of life. She added: “Is he unhappy with his life? With his big family? Me?”

Sue and Noel have been married for three decades after tying the knot back in September 1992. For the past few years, Channel 5 viewers have been gripped with watching The Radford family, who first shot to fame back in 2012.

However, in the first episode of the new series, the duo confessed they never planned on having a big family. Noel revealed that initially, they planned on having three children before their family extended.

As the episode focused on their children’s aspirations, the parents reflected on their dreams growing up. Sue said: "I think when I was younger I wanted to be an air hostess."

While her husband Noel confirmed this, it seemed as though his dream was a little different than hers. He told the cameras: “I had a picture of a red Porsche on my bed."
