Arsenal have confirmed that Bukayo Saka, William Saliba and five other players will not travel to the United States for their pre-season tour. The Gunners have named a 26-man squad with a mix of experienced players and young talent for their matches against Bournemouth, Manchester United and Liverpool.

In a statement, it was confirmed that players who were involved in the latter stages of Euro 2024 will not join up with the rest of the squad. It means Saka, Saliba, Aaron Ramsdale, David Raya and Declan Rice will stay at home to rest and recuperate ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

Kieran Tierney and Takehiro Tomiyasu will also remain in London to receive treatment on their respective injuries. The former picked up a hamstring issue while playing for Scotland at the Euros, while the latter was spotted in training last week but is said to have sustained a knee problem.

Gabriel Jesus, Leandro Trossard and Eddie Nketiah are the senior strikers, while Reiss Nelson and Charles Sagoe Jr will also travel across the Atlantic to complete the 26-man group.

Arsenal will begin their pre-season tour by facing Bournemouth in Los Angeles on Wednesday. They will go up against United on Saturday before travelling to Philadelphia for their final game of the tour against Liverpool four days later.
