Chelsea's Cole Palmer has seen his Fantasy Premier League price skyrocket in a record-breaking increase following his impressive breakthrough season. The 22-year-old, who notched up 22 goals and 13 assists in the Prem's official fantasy football game last season, was valued at a mere £5m before his transfer from Manchester City.

However, for the upcoming campaign, he will cost significantly more. His price has surged by £5.5m to £10.5m, marking the largest increase in the game's history, reports the Mirror.

The record was previously held by Andy Carroll, whose value doubled from £5m to £10m ahead of the 2011/12 season after his move to Liverpool in the prior January transfer window. Harry Kane is now third on the list for his price jump from £5m to £9.5m for the 2015/16 season, following his emergence into the Tottenham team the previous season which saw him win the PFA Young Player of the Year award.

Charlie Adam (£5m to £9m in 2011/12), Gylfi Sigurdsson (£5m to £9m in 2012/13) and Riyad Mahrez (£5.5m to £9.5m in 2016/17) all experienced a £4m increase in the past. Like Carroll, Adam had recently joined Liverpool in a £6.75m transfer from relegated Blackpool, where he had scored 12 goals and provided eight assists from midfield.

Sigurdsson moved to Tottenham in the summer of 2012 for £8m from Hoffenheim, following an impressive loan spell at Swansea City where he scored seven goals and made four assists in just six months.

Mahrez was instrumental in Leicester City's title-winning season with 17 goals and 10 assists, hence his value increase. This season, Palmer is by far and away the most significant riser, with Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta being the closest to him, rising from £5m to £7.5m.

Both Anthony Gordon (£5.5m to £7.5m) and Phil Foden (£7.5m to £9.5m), who had standout seasons for Newcastle United and Manchester City respectively, have seen their values increase by £2m.

Players whose values have risen by £1.5m include Bukayo Saka, who went from £8.5m to £10m after another impressive campaign for Arsenal, Fulham's Rodrigo Muinz (£4.5m to £6m), Manchester City's back-up goalkeeper Stefan Ortega (£4m to £5.5m), and Alejandro Garnacho (£5m to £6.5m).

Some notable price decreases for the 2024/25 season include Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kevin De Bruyne, and Christopher Nkunku, all of whom have fallen by £1m. Alexander-Arnold is now a more viable option in defence at £7m, albeit still the most expensive in his bracket.

De Bruyne has dropped to £9.5m following an injury-plagued season that saw his output decrease. Nkunku, now priced at £6.5m, has also changed from a forward to a midfielder - a position that earns one more point for a goal and an extra for a clean sheet.

Perhaps the most significant faller is Marcus Rashford, who was priced at £9m this time last year. He's suffered a £2m drop to £7m after a lacklustre 12 months for club and country.
