Light Rail services in Yuen Long disrupted

The MTR Corporation on Thursday said it called the police over an incident that led to disruption to Light Rail services in Yuen Long, saying it suspected a truck had hit and damaged overhead cables. Police said they arrested the 47-year-old truck driver on suspicion of dangerous driving. He was held for investigation. The force said no injury was reported from the incident. The rail company said the incident happened at around 2pm, and the affected section was near the Shui Pin Wai Stop, next to Yuen Long Park. The firm said services gradually returned to normal after around three hours, following emergency repairs. Several Light Rail routes, including 610, 614, 615, 671P and 751, had to be diverted.
