ITV Loose Women's Judi Love opens up on horror attack as man 'grabbed her' in street

Loose Women: Judi Love recalls being attacked in the street

Loose Women's Judi Love has recounted a terrifying encounter during a live broadcast on the ITV programme, leaving viewers and her co-hosts utterly gripped.

Recounting the chilling incident, Judi revealed that while walking alone on a secluded street, she was suddenly "grabbed" by an unknown assailant, instilling in her a profound fear for her safety. Her colleagues Charlene White, Nadia Sawalha, and Linda Robson listened in solidarity as she detailed her experience.

On the show, Judi expressed her concerns: "As a social worker, I wouldn't even want to dare touch on in the home or in small communities about people being afraid to speak up. This is a conversation you have to have with your daughters and sons."

She continued, delving into her personal experiences: "I've had situations as a comedian, travelling home late at night. I was in a particular area at night and I started to walk in the middle of the road because I just felt something..."

Judi then described the harrowing moment: "That gave me an extra 20 seconds because as I turned down the road, a guy grabbed me and I just, in that moment, I turned into, 'This is a fight, this is just what I've got to do'. I looked him in the eye and said, 'If this is what you wanna do, just know what you're doing,'" reports the Mirror.

She concluded with a stark reminder: "We have to go into that survival [mode]... I'm a woman at 40 what about an 11-year-old?"

Previously in 2021, Judi had mentioned the same frightening episode, saying: "As a grown woman, I do comedy and there are times I travel quite late by myself in my area, and there was one particular night, the guy was on the other side of the road, I was on the main high road."

"And I saw him pull his cap down and run towards me, and in that 30 seconds, my car was round the corner, and I was like, 'Should I run to my car? But I thought if I run to my car I am in a dark space, so I just stood and took him straight on, he grabbed my hand and I thought, 'He is gonna mug me.'"

"So I just started to have a conversation [with him], 'Is this what you wanna do? Is this what you wanna do? Take what you are going to take.'"

Thankfully the incident ended without anyone getting hurt, as Judi said: "He just looked me in my eye, I don't know what it was, and he just threw my hand down and walked off, it wasn't until afterwards I thought, 'Oh my gosh, that really happened.'"

She now refuses to go walking late at night and always texts someone about where she's going, admitting: "Thinking about it makes me a bit shaky."
