Heston Blumenthal breaks down as he talks about bipolar

Celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal was visibly moved to tears as he opened up about his struggle with bipolar disorder on The One Show.

During an intimate discussion, BBC hosts Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas gave Heston the floor to discuss the emotional rollercoaster he has experienced. The heartfelt revelation came during Tuesday's episode, where Heston disclosed how his wife, Melanie Ceysson, played a pivotal role in getting him the necessary support after noticing "extremes" in his behaviour.

Heston bravely confessed that his condition became clearer to him last year following his diagnosis with bipolar disorder, which, as per NHS information, is characterized by significant mood swings.

In a touching moment with his wife Melanie in the broadcasted segment, Heston recounted: "These recurring highs to lows were getting stronger and stronger and more regular."

Melanie, reflecting on her husband's struggles, likened them to a "tornado".
