Police intercept 171 people

As part of “Operation Thunder 2024,” the Public Security Police (PSP) has intercepted and identified 171 people during the latest inspection of entertainment venues in Macau. Coordinated by police authorities, the operation has been inspecting various establishments and increasing patrols in key areas.

No crimes were detected during the operation. PSP officers inspected massage parlors, clubs, bars and karaoke establishments. Additional checks were conducted on public transport.

On July 14, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., the PJ dispatched 25 criminal investigators to the tourist area of St. Paul’s in Central District and bus stations from Nan Van to San Ma Lo. A total of 123 people (72 men and 51 women) were intercepted and investigated, with no suspicious persons brought back to the PJ for further investigation.
