The ‘What Was I Made For’ singer will read from Oliver Jeffers’s This Moose Belongs to Me, which follows the story of Wilfred, a young boy who believes he owns a large moose named Marcel.

Eilish is expected to tell the young viewers about her love of nature and advises: “We need to look after beautiful, wild creatures like Marcel, but we also need to let them do their own thing,” in the broadcast, which will air on CBeebies on Friday 19 July.

Jeffers’ work often touches on climate-conscious themes, which Eilish has also been a vocal proponent of. Last year, she invited young environmental activists to have a conversation about the climate crisis.

Billie’s episode of CBeebies Bedtime Stories will air on 19th July at 6:50PM UK time on CBeebies and iPlayer!

She previously brought together climate activists, musicians and designers at venues across The O2 to “discuss the climate crisis and the work they are doing to make a difference” at her ‘Overheated’ event.

She joins stars like Harry Styles, Dave Grohl, Dolly Parton, Elton John, Tom Hardy, Ed Sheeran and Idles frontman Joe Talbot in appearing on the children’s TV series.

Discussing the upcoming show, she said: “My favourite thing in the world as a child was a bedtime story and I would be upset if I didn’t get one. I had a lot and I loved them all!”

Elsewhere, Eilish’s brother and producer Finneas has said that he had one of the “longest, biggest” arguments with her when they were making ‘Hit Me Hard And Soft’.

During an appearance on Hot Ones Versus, he elaborated on the exchange, telling Eilish: “I think the longest, biggest argument was during a period of transition in both of our lives when we were both just trying to be honest.

“To give you credit, I was very high and mighty and telling you you weren’t being honest enough or authentic enough.”
