JiyongKim Continues to Harness the Natural Elements for a Sun-Bleached SS25

Seoul-based label JiyongKim continues to harness the world's natural elements to create his upcoming Spring/Summer 2025 collection. This season, the prolific South Korean designer brings in new silhouettes and fabrics to experiment with for different shades of sun-bleaching. Jiyong Kim hones in on his craft as he embraces his signature treatment.

First presented in his own showroom during Paris Fashion Week earlier this June, Jiyong shared with Hypebeast that this season saw him explore multiple avenues with his due process. Collaborations with Alpha Industries continue to expand, while a new set of collaboration with Clarks Originals sees him place his signature fabric print on iconic models like the Wallabee, Desert Trek and Wallabee Cup.

Key sun-bleached items include the patch knit cardigan, wrinkle processed shirt, mesh layered sleeveless and the layered strap half trousers. This season also sees JiyongKim experiment more with non-sun bleached items. New silhouettes like the hooded zip-up collared jacket as well as the hooded mesh top and rolled edge beanie come to mind as JiyongKim expands to develop his clean-cut and movement-based silhouettes.
