Golf social media star Paige Spiranac has once again taken the internet by storm, this time by devouring hotdogs in a bid to fill the gap left by Joey Chestnut, who was unable to participate in Nathan's July 4th Hot Dog Eating Contest. Spiranac lived up to her claim of being able to consume six-and-a-half hotdogs in 10 minutes, much to the delight of her millions of fans.

Spiranac teased her fans with her hotdog-eating antics on X, where she posed in a bra alongside four plated hotdogs. However, some fans had to pay a $100 entry fee to actually watch Spiranac eat the hotdogs, while members to her Passes account were offered a discounted price.

It's believed Spiranac managed to eat six hotdogs in 10 minutes. "Thank god we got Paige Spiranac since we don’t have Joey Chestnut,'' one fan said on X.

"Good luck, don’t hurt yourself," another said. A third replied: "Great way to celebrate America’s birthday. Good luck!"

Former professional golfer Spiranac could make a comeback. She played golf for the University of Arizona and San Diego State, but failed to earn a card to play on the LPGA.

"I played junior golf, college golf and a year professionally," Spiranac said in an emotional statement.

"After that stretch I mentally couldn't handle playing golf and especially keeping score. I equated my score to my self worth. I know it sounds silly but competitive golf really beat me up emotionally. But I've found that passion again! I've started tracking my scores and grinding on my game. I'll keep you posted here on my journey!"

Spiranac also gave an honest assessment of her skills. She has made a breakthrough with her takeaway. "I've always struggled with my takeaway," she revealed. "Best it's ever looked!"

Meanwhile, at Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island, the absence of Joey Chestnut didn't stop Patrick Bertoletti from claiming victory in the men's division, scarfing down an impressive 58 hot dogs. Miki Sudo retained her title in the women's contest, devouring a staggering 51 hot dogs.

"Breaking 50 is a milestone for all women and I'm really excited to be a part of it," Sudo exclaimed to the New York Post. Meanwhile, Chestnut, a 16-time champion of the eating contest, found himself barred from competing due to an exclusive deal with Nathan's rival, Impossible Foods.

The renowned competitive eater alleges that the competition's rules were altered specifically to exclude him. "They are looking to change the rules from past years as it relates to other partners I can work with," Chestnut claimed. "This is apparently the basis on which I'm being banned, and it doesn't impact the July 4th contest."
