Jamie xx Teams Up With Tekla for Homeware Capsule

British musician Jamie xx has joined the Scandinavian homeware label Tekla for a new capsule inspired by his long-awaited sophomore album In Waves.

The capsule features a hooded bathrobe and beach towel that suits Jamie xx’s and Tekla’s aesthetic. The In Waves print made up of stripes on both items is inspired by his latest album cover which features the trippy waves. While the bold print is outside of Tekla’s usual wheelhouse, materials like the twisted organic cotton fibers that make the bathrobe ultra soft are what the brand brings to the table.

This isn’t Tekla’s first go around with collaborations though as the label has worked with brands like Artek, Birkenstock and Stüssy in the past. The recent Artek collaboration last month was a bedding collection that followed Tekla’s collaboration formula of expanding its horizons while keeping its integrity.

“Jamie xx has been a part of Tekla’s community since the beginning. We are thrilled to celebrate this moment with him by bringing our worlds of music and design together,” says Charlie Hedin, Tekla’s founder and creative director.

The Jamie xx/Tekla capsule is available now on Tekla’s website. The beach towel retails for $165 USD and the hooded bathrobe retails for $285 USD. Jamie xx’s new album In Waves is set to release on September 20.
