Channel 4 presenters Krishnan Guru-Murthy and Emily Maitlis are leading the coverage of the General Election throughout the night and into the early hours.

They were joined by The Rest Is Politics podcast hosts Alastair Campbell and Rory Stewart, as well as Conservative former Chancellors Kwasi Kwarteng and Nadhim Zahawi, Labour's Harriet Harman, ex-Liberal Democrat leader Vince Cable, the SNP's Mhairi Black.

Nadine Dorries also made an appearance on the panel. As the exit poll results came through, it has predicted a landslide victory for the Labour Party.

However, she accused Alastair Campbell of being "sexist" after he made a comment to her. He said: "You've really got to get over Boris Johnson, Nadine".

After six weeks of campaigns, the General Election has finally come around and saw the UK going to the polling booths to place their votes.

With Rishi Sunak for the Conservatives, Sir Keir Starmer for Labour, Ed Davey for the Liberal Democrats, Richard Tice for Reform UK and Carla Denyer and Adrian Ramsay for the Green Party, this is the UK's first general election that requires people to bring photo ID to the polling booth.
