End Of Summer is a psychological thriller that BBC viewers are not going to want to miss.

Based on the best-selling novel of the same name by former police officer Anders de la Mottes, the drama is geared up to be an exciting watch with some familiar faces.

But before it begins, here’s everything there is to know about watching End Of Summer.

When is the release date for End Of Summer? 

There isn’t too long to wait as End Of Summer is going to premiere on Saturday, July 6, at 9pm on BBC Four.

The series is going to consist of six episodes in total with a new instalment coming out every week around the same time slot.

Set in the summer of 1984, End Of Summer delves into the events following the disappearance of five-year-old Billy in rural Sweden.

An inconclusive police investigation devastates Billy’s family and two decades later, Billy’s sister Vera meets a “hauntingly familiar young man”.

This, in turn, leads Vera to begin to unravel the truth behind what really happened to her little brother more than 20 years ago.

But could this strange man really be Billy or is there an even darker truth to the story?

Starring as Billy’s sister Vera is actress Julia Ragnarsson who appeared in both the horror film Midsommar as well as the drama The Bridge.

Acting opposite Ragnarsson is actor Erik Enge as the strange man that reopens the case of her missing brother.

Enge has appeared in The Sandhamn Murders, Tigers, Black Crab and Delete Me.

Some of the other cast members include Lars Schilken, Torkel Petersson, Linus Nilsson and Henrik Norlen.

End Of Summer premieres on Saturday, July 6, at 9pm on BBC Four.
