Apple Officially Classifies First-Gen AirPods, HomePod and iPhone X as "Vintage"

As of July 1, the first-generation AirPods, first-generation HomePod and the iPhone X are officially classified as "vintage" Apple products.

As reported by MacRumors, the tech giant added the products to its vintage list as Apple had stopped distributing them more than five and less than seven years ago. Repairs will still be provided by official Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Service Providers for two more years — marking the seventh year since it was last distributed for sale — and will then be classified as "obsolete" products with zero support.

The three products were released between December 2016 to February 2018. The AirPods and HomePod have since received four and one new versions since the first-generation release, while the iPhone is expected to be releasing its iPhone 16 version soon.
