Coronation Street star told 'wash your mouth out' as she's caught 'swearing'
Coronation Street fans were left gobsmacked as Amy Barlow turned the air blue during the latest visit to Weatherfield.
Steve (Simon Gregson) and Tracy McDonald's (Kate Ford) daughter was chatted to Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) about how stressed out she is when she let a swear word slip out.
She told Leanne that she 'can't be a***d" and viewers of the ITV soap watching at home were left wondering if Amy's bad language was the reason why the episode had been moved to a later slot in the schedule.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: "Did Amy Barlow just swear on #Corrie?" Another added: "Amy said can’t be a***d first swear word of the week." A third person said: So was why #CoronationStreet started at nine o'clock. Amy Barlow, wash your mouth out."
However, Corrie aired at the later time 9pm on Monday (July 1) instead of its usual 8pm slot and it's not the first time the soap has been hit by a schedule shake-up in recent weeks.

During the latest episode, Amy told Leanne that her mum Tracy wasn't returning to Weatherfield for the unveiling of her new man Tommy Orpington's bust at Weatherfield County and decided to stay in Spain instead.
However, sources have claimed Tracy will be back on the Cobbles very soon, but in a twist it will only be for one week, before she returns again properly later in the year.

Her storyline is being kept under wraps but she will no doubt have some Barlow family drama to deal with. "Tracy’s a Corrie institution all on her own - she will never be far from the cobbles even when she lives halfway across the world.
"She makes a brief trip back for a week later this summer to visit her family and deal with some Barlow family drama," a source told The Sun.
Simon - who plays Steve - previously teased a potential new romance for Steve and someone else, with fans convinced he could end up with Cassie after viewers pointed out some hints of chemistry between them.
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
