Faith began with her cover of Cass Elliottâs âMake Your Own Kind of Musicâ before saying, âWe love you Amy, youâre here in spirit,â and launching into Winehouseâs 2007 hit.
After Faith performed âBad Womanâ, the second single from her latest album The âGlorification of Sadnessâ, released in February, she gave an emphatic speech in which she dedicated the song to single mums: âI know itâs hard, Iâm doing it!â she said, bemoaning that girls are told, âBe a good girl, always behaveâ, [because] itâs not right. Iâm a bad woman and proud, and I hope that you are gonna raise your daughters to be bad women too.â
Throughout her set, it felt like a party atmosphere on stage with a number of backing singers, musicians and dancers all coordinated in black and red outfits as Faith worked her way through her discography, taking festivalgoers on a journey through her trademark soulful, jazzy pop.

Faith paid tribute to her âLGBTQ friendsâ with âCry on the Dancefloorâ, too, ordering the crowd: âKeep dancing people, itâs time to rave ⦠put your hands together,â and dedicated âSweatpantsâ to married couples in the audience, urging them to stay together and quipping, âThe dating apps are terrible, everyone on there is mental.â
She hopped around her discography, from earlier songs like debut single âStone Cold Soberâ â for which she donned a red cowboy hat â and âUpside Downâ, before which she thanked long-standing fans for their loyalty, to âLullabyâ and âChangingâ, collaborations with house DJ Sigala and drum ânâ bass duo Sigma respectively.
âIâve talked too much so Iâm not allowed to address you again, but it’s been fun” she said at the end of her set, before launching into her 2014 single, âOnly Love Can Hurt Like Thisâ to finish off an extremely strong hour of music.
