Good Morning Britain's Andi Peters has one-word response as Kate Garraway cuts him off

GMB: Kate interrupts Andi and Charlotte's conversation

Good Morning Britain star Andi Peters issued a one-word reply as he was interrupted by Kate Garraway. Friday's (June 28) GMB was hosted by Kate and Robert Rinder, while Andi was on hand to share the latest competition updates.

Kate, 57, revealed that one lucky fan can win a life-changing amount of money if they enter the competition, with a whopping £250,000 up for grabs.

She attempted to hand over to Andi, 53, who appeared to be in deep conversation with co-star Charlotte Hawkins. "Andi is so excited about the prize," Kate exclaimed.

"He's got up early. He's joining us in the studio. He's having a good old gossip with Charlotte Hawkins... ignoring us?" Kate continued before shouting her co-star's name, cutting off his conversation.

"Sorry!" Andi yelled across the studio, adding: "I was just telling Charlotte she looks like she's been tangoed."

Charlotte, who was dressed in a bright orange dress, turned and said: "Yeah, thanks for that." Referencing her bold pink blouse, Kate chipped in: "We're a couple of highlighter pens this morning, Charlotte and I."

It comes after Kate struggled to hold back her tears during a heartbreaking interview on Thursday's GMB. The mum-of-two became visibly upset while speaking to the parents of Charlie Cosser, who died after being stabbed at a gathering in West Sussex.

Kate and co-host Rob Rinder, 46, welcomed Tara and Martin Cosser, who are campaigning for tougher knife crime laws, following the death of their son at the age of 17.

The broadcaster asked: "And your own grief, you know the centre of that sort of stone that ripples out ... people react in different ways. How have you tried to manage the last year and what do you want people to know about how hard it is, really?"

Tara explained: "Martin and I grieve in very different ways. I feel comfort ... well, not comfort ... but I want to be at home. You know that's where Charlie was, all my memories.

"That's too painful for Martin - he wants to escape. So you know we don't actually spend a huge [amount] of time together in the house. It's just a very, very lonely place because no one can possibly understand unless you've been through this."

Kate, who seemed to choke back tears during the interview, is far too familiar with grief as her husband Derek Draper died aged 56 in January following a lengthy battle with COVID-19.
