Bryson DeChambeau makes Donald Trump and Joe Biden golf offer after debate
Bryson DeChambeau has thrown down the gauntlet, offering to host a golf contest between Donald Trump and Joe Biden. The challenge comes hot on the heels of a heated exchange about their golfing prowess during the duo's first live US presidential debate on CNN.

After Biden defended himself, Trump raised his cognitive tests and then moved into his own golfing triumphs.
"I've won two club championships - not even senior - two regular club championships," Trump boasted, implying mental sharpness and athletic skill.
"To do that, you have to be quite smart and you have to be able to hit the ball a long way and I do it. He doesn't do it. He can't hit a ball 50 yards. He challenged me to a golf match - he can't hit a ball 50 yards."

"I got my handicap, which when I was vice president, down to a six," he claimed.

Trump dismissed Biden's claim as falsehood, retorting: "That's the biggest lie that he's a six handicap of all". Biden then seemed to backtrack slightly, amending: "I was a eight handicap. Yeah. Eight."
"I've seen you swing. I know your swing," Trump said. "Let's not act like children", to which Biden retorted: "You are a child."
The debate took an unexpected turn when golf became a focal point, prompting new U.S. Open champion DeChambeau to seize the moment.

The LIV Golf star, who has also amassed a significant social media following, proposed on X: "Let's settle this whole handicap debate, I'll host the golf match on my YouTube @realDonaldTrump @JoeBiden".
DeChambeau has previously played golf with Trump and expressed his gratitude for their relationship, stating in the past: "He's always been generous to me". He also shares a close bond with Trump's son, Eric, as evidenced by their recent celebration in New York following DeChambeau's U.S. Open victory, where they were filmed sipping wine from the trophy.
Trump also extended his congratulations after DeChambeau's second major win. "Congratulations to Bryson DeChambeau on his incredible WIN of the United States Open! " he posted on Truth Social.
