GMB viewers issue same complaint about Kate Garraway after 'car crash' debate
Good Morning Britain viewers made the same complaint about Kate Garraway. The 57-year-old made her first appearance on the ITV programme this week, teaming up with Rob Rinder on Thursday (June 27).
Last night, the final TV leadership debate between Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Labour leader Keir Starmer aired on the BBC before the General Election on July 4.
The fiery clash was unsurprisingly a talking point during today's GMB, with Baroness Ayesha Hazarika and Ed Vaizey making an appearance in the studio to discuss it.
Ayesha, a former political adviser to senior Labour Party politicians, said she had been door knocking and discovered voters are wanting to take a chance on change.
During the debate, which one GMB fan described as a "car crash", a voter named Richard Blackstock asked the two leaders whether they are "really the best we’ve got" – eliciting an eruption of applause from the audience.

Kate Garraway and Rob Rinder (Image: ITV)Ayesha went on to compare the leaders to Liz Truss and Boris Johnson, claiming the former "crashed the economy" and the latter brought politics into "disrepute".
But viewers seemed distracted during the interview as they took to social media to fire complaints at Kate. One demanded: "Kate be quiet and stop trying to get so much air time."
A second declared: "Garraway’s style is dreadful. Always interrupting, not letting others speak. Most of the country fed up with it all now. Roll on next Thursday so we can get on with it. First time in my life and I’m still undecided. They’re all as bad as each other."
"Kate Garaway stop interrupting, stop it!!!!!" exclaimed another viewer. Echoing this, a fourth begged: "Please could @kategarraway ask a question and listen to the answer without interrupting?"

In their final debate, migration, the ongoing betting saga and women's rights were key issues that the pair clashed over in Nottingham. There are still "millions of undecided voters" ahead of the election, James Cleverly said as he warned a Labour government would "hurt" people.
Asked how he believed Mr Sunak and the Conservative Party could shift the dial in the next seven days, the Home Secretary said: "I think there are millions of undecided voters. They may well have been frustrated with us and I understand it.
"Of course because of Covid, because of the war in Ukraine, there are things we wanted to achieve that we’ve not been able to achieve. I get that frustration."
He added: "But it’s reminding those floating voters who haven’t made their mind up yet that a Labour government would hurt them. And that’s particularly true, I think, of potential Reform voters."
