Cristiano Ronaldo was visibly frustrated as Portugal's Euro 2024 win against Turkey embroiled in chaos due to multiple pitch invaders in Dortmund. UEFA suffered a security crisis during the Group F clash as the wall of stewards that surrounded the Westfalenstadion pitch was repeatedly breached by excited spectators.

Portugal stormed to a 3-0 triumph to secure top spot in Group F with six points from a possible six in their opening two games.

Bernardo Silva and Bruno Fernandes struck on either side of Samet Akaydin's comical own goal to guide Roberto Martinez's men into the knockout stages.

But the clash was somewhat marred by security fears raised by multiple breaches of the pitch involving Ronaldo, two of which were orchestrated by children.

The first culprit, a young boy, made his way to Ronaldo, who obliged and leant over to smile for a photo as stewards rapidly closed in.

The youngster evaded capture briefly and was too quick for those on the pitch before two stewards near the sideline pounced to stop him in his tracks.

Another child entering the pitch caused German referee Felix Zwayer to stop the match for a second time, and then on two more occasions when much older individuals attempted to embrace Ronaldo.

By that stage, the Portugal captain was blatantly annoyed and wasn't willing to reward the audacious fans with a photo.

The pitch invasions didn't end there, though. One more individual from the stands managed to breach the pitch after full-time.

Ronaldo cut an angered figure, pointing at the fan as if to ask how he was on the pitch as Portuguese and Turkish players shook hands after their encounter.

One steward even slipped and took out Portugal and Paris Saint-Germain striker Goncalo Ramos amid the chaos, while another tackled the invader onto the ground nearby.

UEFA are yet to comment on the incidents, which have drawn attention to further security concerns for the remainder of Euro 2024 in Germany.

Portugal conclude their Group F campaign against Georgia next week, where Martinez may take the opportunity to rotate with top spot already wrapped up.

Ronaldo and Co. edged past Czechia in their opening game after falling behind through Lukas Provod's long-range stunner.

A Robin Hranac own goal drew Portugal level before 90th-minute substitute Francisco Conceicao netted a stoppage-time winner to claim all three points.

Germany and Spain are the only other nations to have already secured their spot in the last 16.
