Hundreds of fans stood in line for Al Horford -- not for his basketball skills, but to receive food from him at a Raising Cane's in Boston on Thursday.

The Celtics center served chicken at the fast-food joint three days after winning the NBA championship. Horford stood behind the register donning a Raising Cane's cap and shirt while taking orders from fans.

In order to get inside the restaurant, Horford had to squeeze through a large contingent of fans. During his time there, he spoke to fans and reporters and signed jerseys, all during a day when he dipped chicken in a fryer.

"We play basketball for the Celtics," Horford said. "But we understand we represent much more. I'm just very proud to be able to bring a championship to Boston."

According to the Boston Globe, a line of fans formed around 8 a.m. although Horford arrived at 1 p.m. for the event.

The Celtics championship parade will begin Friday at 11 a.m. ET.
