Good Morning Britain fans issue same complaint with Laura Tobin's Royal Ascot outfit

GMB: Laura Tobin says 'the winner at the moment is the weather'

Laura Tobin's appearance has sparked a reaction among Good Morning Britain viewers, with many issuing the same complaint.

The 42-year-old weather correspondent donned a striking black hat paired with a sleeveless patterned silver, blue and red ensemble for Ladies' Day at the famous racecourse. She later changed into a red and white hired dress to "continue my sustainable theme".

As the sun was shining ahead of the first race, Laura, who was joined briefly by colleague Charlotte Hawkins, delivered the rather promising weather forecast for the coming days.

She was pleased to announce temperatures are set to reach 22C during the course of today, tomorrow and Saturday. However, there is a chance of rain showers on Saturday.

However, Good Morning Britain viewers were left distracted by her massive hat, with a fabric rose sewn into it. One fan wrote: "Why's that woman wearing that daft hat at 6.30 in the morning?"

A second remarked: "That hat looks like it’s wearing Laura #gmb."

A third fan added: "Out of all the beautiful hats Laura could have rented she hired that abomination #GoodMorningBritain."

Another quipped: "Ladies' Day is a competition of who can wear the stupidest and most uncomfortable hat... Laura's hat is a prime example of #GMB."
