Leeds leave fans baffled after surprise celeb wishes Whites well for play-off final
Leeds have left fans baffled by including American celebrity Paris Hilton in a video containing supportive messages for the Whites’ players ahead of the Championship play-off final. Hilton appeared alongside actors, comedians and former Leeds players in a touching video ahead of their clash with Southampton.
Leeds legend Eddie Gray, whose grandson Archie will play at Wembley today, finished his video message before, to the amazement of viewers, Hilton appeared on the screen.
“Hey Leeds, it’s Paris,” the businesswoman and media personality said. “Just wanted to leave this message for you guys to say good luck for your game this weekend. I will be rooting for you wearing my jersey.”
She later sent another message to the club on X, sharing a picture with two fire emojis alongside the text: “Let’s go!”

“Paris Hilton to @Cli5hy is not the transition I expected,” @WM80_ said of former Leeds midfielder Mateusz Klich following Hilton in the video.
Also appearing on the video was American actor Will Ferrell. He said: I just want you guys to know that everyone at Leeds United is so excited. We know you can do it. We know you can pull through. Let’s go boys, let’s go!”

Ferrell recently bought a “large” stake in Leeds after claims he had taken to English football. At the time of his purchase of shares earlier in May, a source told the Sun: “It’s true - Will Ferrell owns a share of Leeds.
“The 49ers will be announcing his involvement in the coming days and he’s looking forward to sprinkling a little stardust on the club. He loves soccer and has been particularly impressed by the passion of the English game.
“And his aim now is to see Leeds back where they belong — in the Premier League. As far as Will and the 49ers are concerned, this is a serious investment opportunity.”
