Hypebeast Flea New York Vendor Spotlight: ALL CAPS STUDIO

Ahead of Hypebeast Flea New York on May 18 and 19, Hypebeast is spotlighting each of the event's more than 30 vendors by giving an overview of their practice, their inspirations, and what they plan to bring to the event. Hypebeast Flea New York is free to attend — RSVP HERE

After a stint as a fashion photographer, Philadelphia native Saeed Ferguson launched ALL CAPS STUDIO in 2017 with the goal of making more noise — hence the brand’s loud moniker. He describes the label as an “ongoing experiment” of blending graphic design with clothing and other tangible items. Frequently enlisting external artists for collaboration, Ferguson emblazons hoodies, sweaters, T-shirts and sweatpants with digital illustrations depicting nostalgic Internet moments, famous television characters and inspirational messaging. Beyond ready-to-wear, the imprint creates earthy mugs and statement-making tote bags, while delivering more eclectic partnerships with ice cream parlors and coffee companies. In short, you can always expect to find caps lock activated on any of ALL CAPS STUDIO’s work.

Explain your brand to people who may not know you yet.

ALL CAPS STUDIO is a design studio that also operates as a clothing brand, drawing ideas from nature, music, spirituality, frogs, and the endless inspiration that is art and life.

What about New York inspires you the most?

I love the energy of New York. The air in New York feels like it's charged with this sense of passion and ambition that I really enjoy.

What have you got planned at Hypebeast Flea?

We’re trying to have some fun! We want our booth to be inviting and also experiential, within reason. We started working with a new manufacturer who has opened a lot of design doors for us, so we will be exploring that with this market. We have an entirely new collection that hasn’t been released or seen anywhere else!

What other vendors are you looking forward to checking out at Hypebeast Flea?

Can't wait to see and meet the Extra Vitamins homies in person for the first time. We've been Internet friends for years! ESENES WORLDWIDE is family, and I'm excited to be in the space with them — they're always up to something very cool and interesting. I've heard a lot about Leisure Centre too and I'm excited to see what they have going on :)
