Gogglebox: Jenny gets emotional watching The Piano

During Friday night's episode of Gogglebox, Jenny Newby was left in tears after reacting to a recent episode of The Piano which airs on BBC One and is hosted by Claudia Winkleman.

In the clip, an elderly gentleman called Duncan, who has dementia, paid tribute to his wife Fran as he dedicated a performance in front of a big crowd at Waterloo station.

However, the clip was too much for Jenny as she shed began crying and was forced to take off her glasses and use a tissue, as her pal Lee watched on in their caravan in Hull.

She said: "Don't tell me he's got dementia or that will set me off," before later adding: "I'm sorry, I can't," as she put her head into her hands.

Viewers were also left emotional by Duncan's tribute as they flocked to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their reactions about them crying.

One teary-eyed social media user expressed: "I’m absolutely bawling here at Duncan playing the piano #Gogglebox."

Another emotional person penned: "Now I'm crying at #ThePiano all over again. #gogglebox."

Somebody else wrote: "That's killed me off Duncan #Gogglebox #ThePiano."

Yet another Channel 4 viewer said: "Well that's set me off #gogglebox."

A fifth X user wrote: "I'm gone this is beautiful #ThePiano #Gogglebox."

While a sixth added: "Thanks #gogglebox I need to watch #ThePiano now. The generation Duncan is from is so wonderfully romantic. His sweet words towards his wife just makes u smile.

"That type of love is a rarity these days. A timeless type of love. Dementia tries to ruin it but Love." (sic)

Gogglebox airs on Fridays at 9pm on Channel 4.
