Who is Ralf Little's Death In Paradise replacement? From famous ex to Happy Valley romance
Don Gilet has been a firm fixture on our screens for decades and the actor will now join the Death In Paradise lineup as the lead detective.
The actor, 57, is best known for playing EastEnders baddie Lucas Johnson, but away from Albert Square, he has also had roles in Holby City, The Loch, Sherwood and Doctor Who.
The on-screen star even had a guest role in Death In Paradise back in 2015. It has since been announced that he will debut in this year's Christmas special.

Don Gilet starred in EastEnders where he played the iconic villain Lucas Johnson (Image: BBC/Kieron McCarron/Jack Barnes)Having developed a love for performing arts as a child, Don subsequently pursued professional training at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.
In the realm of his career, Don's onscreen debut was in 1993, featuring in a British comedy show named Desmond's. A sequence of minor roles ensued, with appearances in works like Now What, The Return of Nick Cotton, and Casualty.
The real turning point came with the 2001 series Babyfather, and crossed paths with his future EastEnders co-star Diane Parish. The duo struck up a close bond and remain friends over 20 years later.
In 2008, their careers brought them together again when Don joined Walford as pastor-turned-serial-killer Lucas Johnson.

He is most acclaimed for his portrayal of Lucas Johnson in EastEnders, a pastor become serial killer, which he has been playing periodically since arriving in Walford in 2008. Don reprised his role as Lucas in Tuesday's (April 30) episode of the soap.
On a personal note, despite playing high-profile characters, Don guards his private life, keeping it away from public scrutiny. He was formerly married to actress Tracy Whitwell known for her roles in Soldier, Soldier and Peep Show, with whom he shares a son, Flynn.
