Alvarez: Man City players know if we win 6 games we're champions

Manchester City striker Julian Alvarez says the title is in their hands.

City go to Brighton tonight knowing if they win their remaining six Premier League games they will be champions.

“We have the opportunity to be champions again. We can get two more trophies and we are excited to play," said Alvarez to City's website.

“It was a difficult week because we lost in the Champions League, but then we wanted to reach the final of the FA Cup as we had the semi-final to play.

“If we are able to execute our game plan, then we can win every game and it depends on us if we want to be champions."

“We have to be strong because we can't lose. We have to win every game if we want to be champions.

“You have to be there working hard, being humble and play to win."

The Argentine continued: “Brighton is a tough opponent.

“They are doing very well and have great players. But like I said, if we can execute our game plan then we can win.

“It is a difficult fight. Arsenal and Liverpool are very strong, and they have good players and good teams.

“Every single game is a final and we have to play like a final if we want to be champions. It is very important for us.

“It would be unbelievable as no other team has done this in history.

“Of course, we want to do it, but we have to keep focusing on the next game and that is Brighton and then the others.

“It is hard, but we have done it last season where we were fighting for three titles at the same time.

“Now we have to focus on Brighton and then Nottingham Forest. It is tough, but if we are able to do it, then it will be easier for us.

“We have the players, we are doing well and if we play with our style then we can win every game - it depends on us if we want to be champions and to do that, we have to win every game."
