Air India, ANA to launch codeshare for India-Japan Travel

Air India and All Nippon Airways have established a codeshare agreement to link their networks. This partnership offers increased travel options between India and Japan, effective from May 23, 2024. Passengers can now seamlessly combine flights from both airlines with a single ticket, enjoying premium services such as lounge access and priority boarding.

With Air India adding its ‘AI’ code on ANA’s flights between Tokyo Haneda and Delhi, as well as Tokyo Narita and Mumbai, and ANA reciprocating with its ‘NH’ code on Air India’s Tokyo Narita to Delhi route, the collaboration aims to enhance connectivity. The airlines are also exploring further cooperation on additional routes.

The agreement strengthens economic ties between India and Japan while providing travellers from both countries with broader flight options and ensuring safety standards. Katsuya Goto, of All Nippon Airways, sees this partnership as a significant step towards improving air connectivity and enhancing the travel experience between Japan and India, aiming for a seamless travel environment between the two nations.
