Nas Celebrates 30 Years of 'Illmatic' With New Capsule Collection

Nas is celebrating the 30th anniversary of his revolutionary debut album, Illmatic, with an all-new merchandise collection, with the capsule not only paying homage to the critically acclaimed music, but also to his Queensbridge roots that are so poetically illustrated within it.

The collection includes a slew of relaxed designs, with long-sleeved T-shirts coming alongside a melange of hoodies and jersey wear hit with a slew of intricately designed artwork. Each artwork featured in the collection has been individually painted and hand drawn by artists Andrew Agutos, Esteban Whiteside, Rushad Kolah, and Samborghini, while the creative direction has been led by Kiran Goraya Ili and art direction taken on by Carlos Valdez via Bravado UMG.

Meanwhile, the varied collection features a line of accessories, with a line of new air fresheners and badges further encapsulating the raw essence of Nas' music and the vibrancy associated with the city of New York.

Commenting on the anniversary of Illmatic, the New York Senate stated: "Nas' debut album Illmatic is the crown jewel of the mid-90s classics that still define the genre; unlike other albums released in its wake, Illmatic was the game-changer that forever transformed the landscape of East Coast hip-hop."

You can take a closer look at the new Nas merchandise collection above and it's available to shop via Nas' official website now.
