Pep Lijnders 'to strip Liverpool of entire backroom staff' as Klopp assistant eyes new job
Pep Lijnders could reportedly take Liverpool's entire backroom team with him to Besiktas after offering himself to the Turkish giants. The Dutchman is set to leave Anfield after six years as the club's assistant manager when Jurgen Klopp steps down at the end of the campaign.

According to Sabah, the 41-year-old has already reached out to offer his services following the exit of Fernando Santos earlier this month.
It is said that Lijnders is keen to start his managerial career after leaving Liverpool and has identified Besiktas as the club he wants to lead next season. The report adds that he could take his 'entire Liverpool team' with him, potentially leaving the Reds needing to appoint several new coaches over the summer.
Besiktas are still believed to be evaluating their options to replace Santos in the dugout, with Lijnders not the only candidate in the running. Various names are thought to be under consideration and it remains to be seen whether or not Lijnders will be given the chance to start his managerial career in Turkey.

The Dutchman is eager to make the step into management when he leaves Anfield (Image: GETTY)Back in February, it was reported by talkSPORT that Lijnders was in talks with Ajax to take over as their new boss with John van 't Schip set to leave his interim role in the summer. He has already made it clear that he wants to make the step into management and received a glowing review from Klopp earlier this year.
"He is ready to manage a football team and he wants to do that as well, so that’s great, together with Vitor [Matos]," said Klopp in an interview with Liverpool's official channels.
